Prince William proposed to Kate as early as in October, just after he'd obtained consent of Kate's father. He decided to give her the ring, which Princess Diana received from Prince Karol. In the statement for reporters, William declared that both - the ring and Kate were exceptional, thus he decided to connect one with the other.

The ring is dazzling. It's most important element - an oval sapphire, is adorned with diamonds arranged around it.

The happy couple is planning the marriage ceremony in spring or summer of 2011. It will be certainly one of the most important social events of the coming year.
