How much avant-garde is enough?

Cubist ideas signed by Balenciaga...
In the newest autumn collection by Balenciaga we can find abstract shoes designed by Pierr Hardy. Their shapes are referring to kinds of footwear known to us for years like oxfords, moccasins, lined boots, however, what distinguishes them is the almost cubist approach of the designer towards their shape and used materials which are not usually used in the shoe industry, for example wood, untypical metals and plastics.
The collection is inspiring respect because it's attracting attention, it's referring to the important ecological subject matter and is at the same time shocking and amazing.
Still, if this collection will be a next milestone in direction of accustoming us everyone to the patchwork style, then, in my opinion, it is worth showing.
