Snoods
The name comes from 19th century and originally meant a net or fabric bag pinned or tied on at the back of a woman's head. Nowadays, snoods are worn by both men and women and it was hard to escape their presence on the AW12/12 Dior and Hermes runways. Besides, they are amazingly warm and cosy. Need more convincing?

This season, faux fur is everywhere! Stores are providing options that make it hotter and more wearable than ever. Fur scarves are definitely hot this fall/winter season. Styled by Versace, they look absolutely gorgeous. Off the runway, fur doesn't have to be natural. Let's remember that the synthetic imitations of leather (often made of recycled leather) are currently of very high quality. Synthetic fur coats don't vary much from their natural counterparts. As you can see, even the eco-conscious girls can dress fashionably.

Don't forget about chunky scarves. Knitted shawls are the base accessory, yet this season they give way to the delicate shawls as seen at fashion shows by Chanel and Victoria Beckham.
