Unfortunately, no leather shoes are water resistant. One of the reasons why our feet feel so good in leather shoes is the fact that they can breathe easily in them. They have the access to fresh air. Natural leather doesn't form a tight barrier between the skin of feet and air.
As a consequence, natural leather also soaks. It's rather normal. However, in order not to damage your shoes, it's crucial to let them rest while they can give the damp back.
One shouldn't try to speed up the drying ( i.e. with hairdryer or by putting shoes on the radiator). One should devote twice as much time for drying as the shoes have been worn.
Attention! It's important to clean your shoes before drying them!
