Wellies are shoes in casual style, they are as good as any others. The only difference is that they never soak through and are always easy to maintain.

Obviously, we put such shoes when the weather is foul. But you can as well step in the pools or mud when the weather is sweet. In Wellingtons, you don't have to worry that you'll damage your shoes.

Let's face it: modern Wellingtons are not the same rubber boots we used to wear when we were children. Nowadays, Wellies are made of quality plastics, they can be patent, they are aesthetic, they come in interesting cuts and colours, therefore they are way different from the archaic rubber boots.
