We're talking about Kate Beckinsale - a woman who wears extreme heels even when walking her dog. Thus, it's out of question that for an opening night she'll choose high heels, even if the film is not particularly highbrow, like Going the Distance featuring Drew Barrymore.
I love heels, but only when they don't exeed the height of 9 centimetres. If the heel is higher, shoes need to have a platform (apparently those with tread are most reliable). Kate's heels are definitely higher, so the platform is double. She is wearing Italian double platforms by Salvatore Ferragamo.
Why do women choose heels that force them to tiptoe? Probably to have such legs:
To sum up, I'll add that Kate was also wearing Resort 2011 dress by Versace and she caped it all with Jimmy Choo purse.
