Fashion show without at least one " little black dress", which famous Coco was well-known for...?
That is not the first collection of this kind.
Incredible, isn't it? Luckily, there were some symbols connected with the most outstanding fashion designer of all time.
Fashion show Chanel Haute Couture Fall - Winter 2010/2011 took its place in the Paris Grand Palais. Models were walking around huge lion's statue, which was a replica of Coco's amulet (symbolizing her zodiac sign). This statue was very special for one more reason - under the lion's paw there was a pearl, which is also closely associated with Coco.
It is worth noticing that cuts presented during this fashion show were flattering woman's silhouette. Dresses were highlighting waistline and skirts were exposing hips. There were also very charming boleros and short jackets cut just under bust line - very much of Chanel style.
Black colour was replaced by wide range of colours which, combined with decorative stones, created an aura of secrecy, whisper and elegance.
And what about shoes? Naturally, high-heeled boots with higher upper.

As in case of every collection designed by Lagerfeld, the final was the most important part. Commentators welcomed it with admiration. A model, who was wearing old-fashioned dinner jacket adorned by trendiest accessories and avant-garde shoes, was accompanying the bride by Chanel - dressed in white and bejewelled with pearls and gold. He was wearing an enormous, suede, lion's head on his own head and she was wearing short skirt and high-heeled ankle-high boots. The reak King and Queen of the jungle, aren't they?
